News update 4th Nov

4th November 2022
Dear parents / carers,
This week we have been thinking about saints following on from All Saints Day on Tuesday.  We thought about saints as superheroes who did good and put others before themselves!  Everyone has settled back into school well and showed great PERSEVERANCE in focusing in on new learning across our classes.  To keep everyone up to date with learning across school we have just published a new set of portfolios on our website. This showcases the work in different subject areas: particularly scienceREhistory and DT.  Also don't forget you can find out what children are learning about in the Knowledge Organisers listed here.

The Christmas dates have already been published and are also displayed on our website. We will try to give reminders of events as they come up.

Uniform reminders:  although we ask children to come in PE kit on PE days, we have noticed many children not wearing appropriate school PE kit. On PE days children should wear SCHOOL PE KIT.  If not then we will ask the children to wear their school T-shirt and jumper instead. In addition, we would like to remind parents that hair bands, clips etc should be in school colours to be in keeping with the uniform - many thanks for your cooperation and understanding.

Year 2 Aquamarine class will be attending the War Memorial next Friday (11th November) as part of their history topic on Remembrance. If you are a Year 2 parent and could spare some time to help walk the children down this would be most appreciated - please let the office know or talk to Mrs Mackay.

We look forward to welcoming many of you into school next week for parent consultations or even by phone!  We hope you find this a useful experience to find out more about the progress and learning of your child.

We hope you have a good weekend and enjoy any fireworks safely. Useful information from the British Fireworks Association can be found here

Stay safe and best wishes
